SAGA Signature Collection
SAGA Signature Collection consists of ready-to-stitch kits designed by generous SAGA teachers. The teacher has donated her design, pattern and directions to SAGA to further the mission of quality education and preservation of the techniques for future generations. The members of the SAGA Sales Committee gather all supplies for you. Each kit is complete, ready to smock and/or embroider, with very detailed directions to allow you to finish a quality project.
The kit includes everything needed to complete the project:
excellent directions and color photos, the hemstitched napkin, wool felt,
luscious silk ribbons, beads, floss and specific needles.
This project was designed especially for SAGA by Susie Gay. Susie teaches extensively; her business is 'Berryhill Heirlooms.'

The kit includes everything needed to complete the project: excellent directions, pleated batiste, lining fabric, backing fabric (which differs from Kathy's sample piece in the photo), piping and bias strip, floss to coordinate with the back, lace, needles. Please note: the stuffing/fiberfill is not included.
Kathy is a loyal SAGA member and teaches extensively. Her business is 'Kathy Awender Designs'.

Judith Marquis of Newmarket, ON, Canada has designed this adorable pinafore-style outfit for a toddler. The "Byzantine Jewels" smocking design is perfect for learning the technique of color tumbling. The shading of 5 floss colors gives such a luscious aspect to the smocking. The angel sleeves are a beautiful addition to this sweetness. This kit comes with everything needed to finish the tabard: pleated fabric, additional fabric for yokes and sashes, Swiss embroidered edging, floss, ribbon, hooks & eyes and needles. Judith has taught for SAGA for many years and has other patterns that she has designed as a part of her business Amberlane & Amberpetites, www.amberlane.ca. She is vice-president of Grace L. Knott Smocking Supplies Ltd. and has published smocking and heirloom articles in a number of publications.
