The California Stitch-In is three full days of classes, food, teacher market, games, and door prizes with friends you know and those you've yet to meet.
Held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 20-22, 2025, at the Hillcrest Homes Retirement Community located in the beautiful foothill community of La Verne, California, this weekend features three full days of classes with lunch each day, an evening Dessert Mixer and Teacher Market on Friday, banquet-style dinner on Saturday, and lots of games, fun, door prizes.
Featuring classes with Jann Young, Jeannie Baumeister, and Kathy Awender, this weekend will surely offer options you'll love! Whether you'd like to refine your drafting and design skills with Kathy, experiment with innovative stitches, beads, and threads with Jann, or settle in for some old-fashioned hand embellishments with Jeannie, these wonderful teachers will present techniques and ideas you're sure to enjoy adding to your knowledge base.
Registration will begin on Monday, March 10, 2025. You may register through the link on the member home page starting at 10 am Central time that day. Once you are registered, you will receive a list of hotels in the area for those who will need lodging each night.

The 46th Annual Convention of the Smocking Arts Guild of America will be held on Wednesday through Sunday, October 15 - 19, 2025, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel & Convention Center in Charleston, South Carolina. There will also be two optional preday classes on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. More information is to come.
Hotel reservations are currently open. Rooms will be $184/night plus applicable taxes and fees. Rate includes complimentary parking in hotel lot. Reservations must be made by September 12, 2025, to be included in the SAGA room rate.
